One Step Towards Future

A Journey to the Mountains: Protecting the Future with Pure Hearts

We all feel a sense of responsibility towards our environment, but how often do we take action to combat environmental challenges?

On November 23, 2019, the LRDLF Community decided to step up, embarking on a frontline mission to the Armenian mountains.

A group of nine volunteers departed from Yerevan to join an international team at the Urtsadzor Eco Centre in Armenia's Ararat region. The eco-center volunteers care for rescued bears and plant trees as part of a broader environmental project.

Upon arrival, the combined teams were introduced to the eco-centre's daily routines, beginning with a morning coffee in the chilly mountain air.

After the briefing, the volunteers tackled their main task: digging the steep hillside overlooking the Eco-Centre's main building. Despite harsh weather and frozen ground, the team persevered, preparing the land for tree planting in the Khosrov Forest State Reserve.

This program marked the LRDLF Community's first environmental action and the start of a significant movement. Our community of dedicated individuals is committed to creating a peaceful and sustainable future.

I have made a dream come true by stepping forward and bringing my vision to life. Along the way, I've learned that dreams only become reality when you share them with others. This is the key to finding extraordinary people who share your vision.

We often dream of things we wish to see materialize. Some people live in their dreams, while others live out their dreams. The difference is significant—living in dreams can lead to losing touch with reality, resulting in discouragement and disappointment.

From our first impactful program with the LRDLF Community in Armenia, I learned that this achievement wouldn't have been possible without sharing my dream. By speaking it out loud, I attracted the best of souls, united for a greater cause, digging through frozen earth to make a difference.
